Loving the Forgotten
Let this be our cry.
"I was made to speak destiny into the helpless and the homeless. My hands help those who are downtrodden. I am light, and light dispels darkness. I am powerful because Jesus lives in me. He moves through me to touch the broken, to love the unlovely, to forgive the unforgivable, and to teach the blind the ways of God. And I intend to do it."
We woke up at 5am to prepare breakfast for the homeless people in our city.
We served them vegetable Biryani with egg curry & Amma's homemade pickled lime. These precious people like to eat a heavy breakfast! We fed over 70 people today. These people sit outside churches and train stations every day to beg for food and anything people will give them. We stopped to show them Jesus has not forgotten them.
There is a terrible drought in the state of Tamil Nadu, and the people were desperate for water. We gave every bottle we had.
This man opened the food packet and began eating right away. I believe Jesus sees him as a son. We choose to honor him as a royal son by seeing him the way God sees him.
The man above is crippled from the waist down. He peddles himself around the city with his hand operated cart.
We are working to exchange
Desperation for HOPE
Poverty for PEACE
Pain for JOY
Heaviness for PRAISE
Abandonment with FAMILY
And emptiness with JESUS
What makes me so sad is that many people in India and around the world are living their lives without purpose or drive. My husband and I, along with our families, desire to bring people vision for their future, the hope of the gospel, and a way out of poverty. Whenever we can, we feed the homeless people and provide clothing and grooming kits. Often, the cost are covered by what we personally give each month. But we also have amazing people like you helping to fund the groceries and the gifts of clothing. Together, we are putting Jesus's love on the streets.
Let's be dreamers in action!
God bless you richly with His peace which is more valuable than any gold!
Love,
John & Laurel Moses
